Growing up in the Amazon rainforest has given Autumn the unlikeliest of friendships: a lost jaguar cub she discovers named Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope for the unknown of New York City, she dreams for years of returning to the rainforest and her friend. At 14, and accustomed to urban life, Autumn discovers that her childhood town is threatened by animal traffickers and decides to return to the Amazon with her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards), Autumn’s lovable but clumsy biology teacher, tries unsuccessfully to talk her out of this ill-advised plan. Together with Anja, Autumn embarks on a journey to reunite with Hope and save her from those who seek to destroy the rainforest and its wildlife.
